PAY BY PHONE PARKING COMES TO TONBRIDGE AND MALLING BOROUGH
Posted on 01 April 2011
Parkmobile are rolling out Cashless Parking with 5 Councils in the County of Kent.
The first operation goes live with Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council on 4th April 2011.
The Council area is in what is called the Garden of England, renowned
for its rural beauty, Apple Orchards and Hop Fields. Hops are used in
the production of beer and were traditionally dried in Oast Houses of
which many still exist in the area.
The main town is Tonbridge which is famous for its old Castle and has
one of England’s premier Public Schools. The Town Centre has 13 busy car
parks, there is one car park in Borough Green, two in nearby Country
Parks and one Park and Ride car park up Bluebell Hill. There is some On
Street paid parking also, behind Tonbridge Station.
All these locations except Bluebell Hill will be provided with
Parkmobile's Cashless Parking solution using Start/Stop, where you phone
to start your parking session and then phone again when you want to
stop it, no need to predict your length of stay. At Bluebell Hill, you
will be able to buy daily or weekly parking.
The other Kent Council locations will be rolling out over the coming months.
