PARKMOBILE STARTS PAY BY PHONE PARKING IN WASHINGTON (USA)
Posted on 20 April 2011
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and Parkmobile today
announced a program that will allow residents, workers and visitors to
use their mobile phones to pay for parking at all of the approximately
17,000 on-street metered spaces throughout the District of Columbia
(Washington).
“We piloted pay by phone parking in
select business districts, with great results, and now we’re ready to
offer this service citywide,†said DDOT Interim Director Terry Bellamy. “It
provides another, convenient payment option for drivers. Instead of
paying with cash or a credit card, all it takes is a couple clicks with
the mobile app or a short phone call and you’re on your way.â€
Parkmobile will start adding locations around the District (Washington)
starting in June. Parkmobile is very proud to offer their services to
the residents and visitors of the capital of the United States of
America. Pay by phone offers customers a new and better way to pay for
parking. Parkmobile users have 24/7 access to their online account; they
can print reports and easily track their parking expenses. It’s much
faster and more convenient.
