CAN I STILL GET A PARKING PENALTY WHEN

I PARK WITH PARKMOBILE?

It is unlikely but possible to receive a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) having used our service to book your parking session. The reasons could be due to one of the following (or for any other reason known only to the enforcement operator):

  • You have inadvertently registered your vehicle number plate incorrectly eg one or more digits of the plate are logged incorrectly. This will result in the parking attendant not being able to match up the vehicle parked in the bay against the one you have actually paid for.
  • You have selected the wrong vehicle from your list of vehicles.
  • You have entered the location number incorrectly.
  • You have parked outside the marked bay.
  • You have parked in a residents bay without a valid permit.

Please note that Parkmobile is a payment processing company. We do not issue PCN’s, nor are we advised when the enforcement operator issues them.  It is possible to appeal a PCN following the instructions given on the back of the notice.  Unfortunately the operator will not allow us to intervene in the PCN process, although we are happy to supply evidence in the form of a VAT receipt (see How do I obtain a VAT receipt?).
